Had to send a head shot for Tin House’s “Win a Dream Date With…” Sweepstakes this week.

Been very busy making preparations for my book’s launch in May. Spent a couple days last week painting this canvas banner, which I’ll be bringing along with me on the book tour. Showbiz and all that. It served as a handy backdrop when I needed a head shot for my publisher’s PR department (seen above is my “smug furniture designer” photo). The vermillion color really brings out my veins.
